AKC Junior Hunter October 2017

Meet Freyja

Freyja's Call name means "lady" and is the Goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, and war. The word valkyrie derives from Old Norse valkyrja (plural valkyrjur), which is composed of two words: the noun valr (referring to the slain on the battlefield) and the verb kjósa (meaning "to choose"). Together, they mean 'chooser of the slain'. Her call name and registered name tie in together. Fitting for a very hunting geared Weimaraner female!

Freyja is out of our dam "Reese" & our late sire "Jonah" meaning she is a 2nd generation Nosam Weim. She is co-owned by good friends Branton & Raelynn Woods who are currently serving in the US Military.  Freyja lives with them & will come back to Nosam Kennels to whelp a few litters and continue her bloodline in which we have high hopes to bring back the hunting line of Weimaraners within this pedigree rather than letting big name dogs proven lines go to waste.

Freyja is an absolute machine in the field, sports a great nose and loads of speed. She has great confidence and boldness in the field, with the desire to please. We are excited to have a bitch of her caliber in our program. She earned her Junior Hunter Title at just 7-months of age trained and handled by Sierra.

Freyja sports a beautiful true Silver coat with a medium, regal, athletic build. Her pedigree is hard to beat. On her dams side, she has many dogs who have titled in the field or show ring along with other titles in other venues. Her pedigree dates all the way back to German lines.
