Beets is an exceptionally handsome young male who embodies the versatility we strive for in the German Shorthaired Pointer. He has the kind of presence that immediately catches your eye confident, stylish, and full of personality—while backing it up with the natural ability and work ethic we want in a performance dog.

​

Beets is an AKC  Grand Champion, and since finishing his championship, my son has enjoyed taking him into the ring simply for fun. Watching them show together has been such a fun part of Beets’ journey and is a testament to his confidence, temperament, and willingness to work with his handler.

​

But the show ring is only half of what makes Beets special.

​

From the very beginning of his field training, Beets demonstrated a stylish point, natural steadiness, and an eagerness to work. He is exceptionally intelligent, quick to learn, and incredibly biddable. He wants to please his handler and approaches his work with enthusiasm and confidence. His natural retrieving ability is another one of his favorite things—he has no problem finding something, picking it up, and bringing it right back.

What we love most about Beets is that he represents the dual-purpose GSP we strive to produce. His conformation and show accomplishments are important, but so are his natural hunting ability, athleticism, trainability, and desire to work. He can step into the show ring with confidence and step into the field ready to do his job.

Around the kennel, Beets is equally enjoyable. He is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and always looking for someone to give him attention. That easy-going temperament paired with his drive and intelligence is a combination we are especially excited to pass on.

We have big plans for Beets, including hunt titles, continued UKC showing, dock diving, and whatever other adventures come his way. We are excited to continue proving what this boy can do while watching him develop into the kind of versatile GSP we believe in.
