JAckson

Jackson is a Nosam-bred dog from our Cider × Jager litter and is owned and loved by one of our puppy families. Although he doesn’t live with us, we’ve had the opportunity to watch him develop and work with him firsthand.

At around seven months old, Jackson came back to us to begin our Intro to Gundog program. It didn’t take long for us to see what he had naturally—an excellent nose, hard-charging drive, the ability and confidence to cover ground, and the biddability to make all of that talent enjoyable to work with.

We encouraged his family to enter him in an AKC Hunt Test, where he went on to pass with impressively high scores and further confirmed what we were seeing in training.

Jackson inherited his sire’s nose, drive, and style in the field along with his dam’s loving, people-oriented personality. After seeing his natural ability, temperament, and development firsthand, we decided he was worth considering for our breeding program and moved forward with his health testing. After successfully completing the testing required for our program, Jackson was added to the Nosam stud lineup.

Since then, Jackson has hunted multiple species of upland birds across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. His experience on wild birds, natural ability, trainability, and proven performance in the field have continued to reinforce our decision to include him in our program.

When he isn’t hunting or training, Jackson goes home to his family and enjoys life as a much-loved family dog. He represents exactly what we strive to produce at Nosam: a capable hunting dog with the temperament and off-switch to be just as enjoyable at home.
