MEET RHYME

Rhyme has similar lines to several of the dogs that helped shape the foundation of our breeding program. We greatly admired their energy, natural drive, trainability, and exceptional mothering ability, so when searching for our next generation, we intentionally sought those same qualities. Rhyme embodies much of what we strive to produce: sound structure, natural ability, an excellent temperament, and versatility.

Rhyme is a petite bitch, standing 21 inches tall (within the breed standard), with a charming and affectionate personality. In the field, she brings incredible natural ability and determination. She has continually impressed us with her instinctive retrieving and pointing abilities, requiring very little encouragement to showcase her talents. Easy to train and naturally cooperative, she demonstrated style, bird sense, and steadiness from an early age, preparing for her AKC Junior Hunter test a breeze. She earned her AKC Junior Hunter title before her first birthday.

She is the perfect example of an "off switch" dog—calm, quiet, and unobtrusive in the house and kennel, yet hard-charging and driven when it's time to work. Rhyme is often so well-mannered and content that you can forget she's even there. She requires very little management around the home, settling easily and carrying herself with a steady, easygoing demeanor. Visitors are frequently drawn to her sweet nature and gentle presence.

In the field, however, she transforms into a determined hunting companion with excellent range and intensity. She is our largest-ranging female, covering ground confidently and efficiently, yet she remains responsive to her handler and is capable of hunting closer when asked. Her combination of natural talent, biddability, athleticism, and quiet confidence makes her a pleasure to own, train, and hunt over.

As a mother, Rhyme has proven to be everything we hoped for—attentive, nurturing, and instinctive with her puppies. She passes along the qualities we value most: sound temperament, natural ability, intelligence, and the versatility to excel as both a hunting partner and family companion.

One of Rhyme's most notable qualities is her intelligence. She is one of the smartest dogs we own, with an exceptional ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. She requires very little repetition when training, often understanding what is being asked after only a few exposures. Her natural problem-solving ability, willingness to work with her handler, and intuitive nature make her an incredibly rewarding dog to train and live with.
