NOSAM KENNELS

Puppy
Investment
We believe families are not simply purchasing a puppy, they are investing in years of health, sound temperament, trainability, and lifelong breeder support. Every puppy at Nosam Kennels receives comprehensive health checks, early development, and foundational training before ever going home. Our pricing reflects the time, testing, and hands-on care that goes into producing puppies we are proud to stand behind. We welcome everyone to apply by thoughtfully completing our puppy application. Our ideal families choose Nosam Kennels intentionally because they value ethical breeding, proper puppy development, and responsible dog ownership as much as we do. When our values align, we can provide each puppy with the strongest possible start and the best opportunity for a lifetime of success.
Included in Every Puppy (Mandatory)
The base price reflects the current market value of a well-bred German Shorthaired Pointer or Vizsla puppy. At a minimum, every puppy should come from parents who have completed breed club-recommended health testing, receive veterinary examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and be sold with a written purchase contract.
At Nosam Kennels, we believe that's only the starting point.
Our breeding dogs are not only extensively health tested, but they are also proven in the areas they were bred for.
We invest countless hours training, campaigning, and evaluating our dogs in the conformation ring, the hunting field, and performance events to ensure they possess the structure, temperament, instinct, and working ability expected of the breed. This commitment helps preserve and improve the breeds we love while giving our puppy families confidence that their puppy comes from parents who have demonstrated both genetic health and real-world ability. You're not simply paying for a puppy; you're investing in generations of thoughtful breeding, proven parents, and a program dedicated to producing exceptional companions and sporting dogs.

Registration and microchipping (Mandatory)
Every puppy leaving Nosam Kennels is AKC registered and permanently microchipped as part of our commitment to responsible breeding, traceability, and lifelong accountability.
AKC registration documents provide a record of a puppy’s pedigree, parentage, and breed history. While registration alone does not guarantee quality, it is an important piece of documentation when combined with health testing, proven parents, and responsible breeding practices.
Estimated AKC costs:
-
Litter registration: approximately $30–$40+
-
Individual puppy registration: approximately $20 Per puppy if paid by the breeder
-
Additional record keeping, pedigree research, and administrative costs are part of maintaining accurate breeding records
Microchipping — Permanent Identification for Life
A microchip is a small identification device implanted under the puppy’s skin that contains a unique number linked to the owner’s contact information. Collars and tags can be lost, but a microchip provides permanent identification.
Estimated microchipping costs:
-
Microchip: approximately $15 per puppy
-
Microchip Registration $20 per puppy
-
Veterinary implantation or service fees may add additional costs
Total $100/per puppy

If you are looking for the lowest-priced puppy, we may not be the right fit, and that’s okay.
Our program is designed for families who want a puppy raised with intention, health testing, early training, and ongoing breeder support from day one.
There is a real cost behind raising puppies with proper care, thoughtful planning, health testing, early socialization, quality nutrition, veterinary oversight, and the time and dedication required to give each puppy the best possible start.
There is also value in that investment.. The price of a puppy reflects far more than the puppy itself it reflects the years of knowledge, preparation, care, and resources that go into producing healthy, stable, well-rounded dogs.
